Castrol Moly Dee Tapping Fluid is a premium tapping fluid for tapping, drilling, milling, threading, boring, threading, sawing – more! 

It has outstanding  thermal and chemical stability for improved threading performance.  Its resistance to breakdown allows closer tolerances and provides smoother, more accurate threads.

Moly Dee’s natural lubricity provides excellent part finishes.  Its combination of friction-reducing lubricants and chemical activity permits faster speeds and increases production.  It does not contain chlorinated solvents per 40 CFR 261, subpart D.

Moly Dee tapping fluid is ideal for stainless steels, titanium and other aerospace metals, and exotic materials that are difficult to machine. 

Moly Dee is used alone, or as an additive, and mixes easily with petroleum cutting oils.   It withstands pressures to 400,000 PSI, reducing metal-to-metal contact and extending tool life.  Moly Dee is both safe and non-toxic.

Recommended Applications and Dilutions

Used straight, Moly-Dee Tapping Fluid should be applied directly to the tool/workplace interface from a spout-top can or other applicator. Used as an additive with straight cutting oils, it should be poured into a high agitation area in the machine sump. Add approximately one gallon of Moly-Dee Tapping Fluid to every ten gallons of conventional cutting oils. This product is not water soluble and should not be mixed with water soluble oils or synthetic coolants.
